Recovery Opportunity Center

After training over 5000 peers in our Peer Employment Training course and integrating our workforce to include 70% peer employees, we realized that peers could do much more if they had a chance to step back and learn advanced recovery skills. We developed the advanced class, which also includes a 200 page text book, as a way to provide advanced learning for peers who were ready to "step up" and move to a more advanced level in their work. This is not about using clinical skills, but rather about learning how to use one's inherent skills and knowledge more purposefully and intentionally. The class is 21 hours in length, can be taught in your community, and is also offered on-line as a blended class.
